"אתה אולי נוצרת מהבוץ או הצלע, אבל בי דווקא יש המון גאווה על אבות אבותיי השעירים ולא פחות על אבות*n אבותיי החד תאיים (n=really big number). לא נוצרתי במיוחד למען שום דבר ואין בי טוב רב יותר מבאחרים." אלו המילים שברצוני שיצאו ממני אל כל הבריאתנים שהתווכחתי איתם לאחרונה. לא שהם ישימו לב למה שאמרתי, כי כמו עבור שאר האנושות – המילים שלי שקופות עבורם.
ודוקינס דווקא טוען שאין טעם להתווכח עם בריאתנים כי זה נותן להם לגיטימציה לחשוב שמה שהם טוענים ראוי בכלל לדיון (ונותן במה ציבורית לדעותיהם).
בן הזוג שלי דווקא טוען שהוא מתווכח עם בריאתנים למען אלו שיושבים על הגדר, ולמען אלו שלא יודעים שאתאיזם הוא אפשרות. ולכן הוא תמיד עושה זאת בפומבי.
וכמובן – יש משהו ממכר בויכוח עם בריאתנים. אבל לפעמים נדמה לי שאין טעם שאני אעשה זאת, כי היגיון מעגלי נוטה לבלבל אותי, ואמירות דמגוגיות לגרום לי לפקפק בידע שלי. אבל עדיין קשה לעמוד בפיתוי, כאשר בריאתן פולט שטויות מיזוגניות, פסאודו-מדעיות או אתיות. או סתם טועה פראקטלית.

General relativityist propagandists, also called gravityists and Einsteinists, like to say that IG is pseudo sceintific nonsense inspired by religious scripture and has no scientific basis. This is unfortunate but not surprising since any old fool can understand how spacetime is treated as a 4-dimensional Lorentzian manifold which is curved by the presence of mass, energy and momentum (or stress-energy) within it; it takes a real genius to understand what is written in the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
